About Alexander
Alexander grew up in Las Vegas, NV where he sang in church and school; he then moved to Salt Lake City, UT and graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance. During his matriculation, Alexander sang various roles such as Masetto from Mozart’s Don Giovanni and King Melchior from Gian Carlo Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors. He also performed in two recitals: one which hosted and celebrated animals and another which featured British art song for a visiting landscape painting exhibition at the University of Utah Museum of Fine Arts.
After Utah, Alexander moved to Montreal, Quebec to pursue a Master of Opera and Voice at McGill University. He premiered the title role of the new opera, Il giudizio di Pigmalione, by Canadian composer Dean Burry, and he covered the additional roles of Le Directeur in Poulenc’s Les Mamelles de Tirésias and Leporello in Don Giovanni. Alexander enjoys the work of the master singers, and he strives to continue the bel canto tradition wherever he sings.
